Hey there!
My name is Vecheka Chhourn, an ambitious and dedicated young man aspiring to be a Software Developer/Web Developer.

I moved from Cambodia in 2015 to pursue higher education in the United States. My journey here has been full of obstacles and challenges but I learned, grew, and most of all I enjoyed every bit of it. Like they say "Change is the only constant in life".

During my spare time, you can find me in the gym exercising or the mountain hiking or in front of a laptop solving algorithms, and working on new projects.

I am currently a senior working towards my Bachelor Degree in Computer Science.

Projects

Tic-Tac-Toe Master

By utilizing Twitter APIs, I implemented a bot that plays a game of Tic-Tac-Toe with the other users, and developed an unbeatable Tic-Tac-Toe algorithm using object-oriented design in Java.

Amazon Scraper

I made use of Python's library to scrape Amazon's wish list items, and programmed to notify via email when one of the items' price significantly goes down.

Huffman Encoder/Decoder

I implemented a Hash Table, Priority Queue, and Huffman's encoding algorithm to encode and compress text files into binary files. I also wrote the decoding algorithm to de-compress the binary files to their original text files.

Tetris

Utilizing object-oriented, observer design, and Java GUI library, I implemented a simple game of Tetris with extra functionalities such as load/save game.
